SCIENTIFIC EVENTS WEEK 2024

The “MTA Scientific Activities Week 2024” program, which was organized to share the project studies of our General Directorate for 2022-2024 with internal and external participants on a common platform and to provide up-to-date information to researchers, was held between 04-08 March 2024 with the participation of Major General Osman ALP, Director General of Mapping, managers and personnel of public institutions and organizations, heads of professional chambers, universities, and private sector representatives.

In his opening speech, Director General Mr. Vedat YANIK stated that our institution has intensified its earthquake-oriented works all over the country in 2023, especially in the earthquake zone, and at the same time, it has put into practice other projects planned for 2023 while continuing its exploration, research and drilling activities all over our country for mineral and energy raw material exploration and yielding satisfactory results. The Director General also stated that these data will be presented and discussed for a week in Sadrettin Alpan, the culture hall of our institution.

Within the scope of the Scientific Activities Week 2024 program, 55 oral and 63 poster presentations were made and completed with the participation of approximately 650 attendees. The book of abstracts of the presentations made during the event is available at https://www.mta.gov.tr/BEH/
