Medical Geology

The geological factors such as rocks, minerals, and elements on the earth have positive or negative effects on human health in terms of their location, and the branch of science that reveals the geographical distribution of these effects is called "Medical Geology". Medical Geology is a branch of science arised from the junction point of geology and medical science due to the adverse effects of geological factors on human health.

On the second floor of the museum, in the Medical Geology Section, fibrous and needle- like minerals, heavy element pollution-acid mineral drainage and silica dusts are exhibited.
