ORUÇ REİS VESSEL IS OFF THE COAST OF DEMRE

Construction of Oruç Reis Vessel started by using only domestic resources in cooperation with MTA and Undersecretariat for Defense Industries and in coordination with related organizations and institutions in order to carry out marine surveys and researches effectively in all seas, especially in maritime jurisdiction of our country. General Director of our institution Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yasin ERDOĞAN and Deputy Director General of our institution Mr. Akan GÜLMEZ visited our National Vessel Oruç Reis, equipped with scientific and technical equipment of advanced technology, on March 5, 2021.

At the first stage of the visit, on-site information on Oruç Reis Research Vessel, equipped with modern drive and maneuver systems having the capacity of two and three dimensional deep seismic researches in the open sea, and our research equipments was given and data of operational strategy of the research vessel and current research activities were submitted thereafter.
