In all the projects and exploration activities environmental issues have high priority. Environmental impact of any study is taken into account. Possible impacts are tried to be eliminated by informing related divisions. Accordingly our institution examines any kind of mining activity's pre-EIA studies and the results are dispatched to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
Environmental Impact Assessment
Main duties are:
- To develop projects that will resolve human-environment interactions and to study on related subjects within the framework of science of environmental geology, which studies problems related to the presence of human activity (such as landslides due to deforestation, destruction of naturedue to industrial activities such as mining, solid waste problem, contamination of ground water) or problems caused by nature to human environment (such as earthquakes, mass flows, site selection problems related to ground properties) based on earth science data.
- To develop environmental protection projects that will improve human life quality
- To evaluate and assess studies related to environmental issues, produced by any other institution.
